Our Farm is open again – Hooray!!
The Tasting House is open Friday – Monday 11am-5pm.
We invite you to discover The Tasting House at our farm where you can experience our award winning spirits and sheep milk cheeses.
Enjoy a selection of Grandvewe Sheep Cheeses and Hartshorn Distillery Sheep Whey Spirits tastings guided by a Tasting House staff member. You will have the time to taste, chat and learn about the farm, sheep, production, the new Ewe Care sheep milk skincare range, the family, and their environmentally sustainable business practices.
Located in Birchs Bay just a short drive south of Hobart, our farm is nestled between D’Entrecasteaux Channel to the north and Bruny Island to the south. No matter where you decide to roam on your day trip, you have some of the most picturesque views in all of Tassie to take that perfect photo.
But beyond just a tasting tour, we plan our experiences to be educational and fun as well. During your visit, you will see the living history of a family-owned farm that raises its own sheep, makes craft cheeses, and turns whey into signature spirits — including the Best Vodka Award winner of 2018. By learning about all the work that goes into each product, your tastings take on a whole new meaning.
When you arrive you will be met by one of our friendly and knowledgeable Tasting House team members who will guide you through the tastings. They will be your personal tour chauffeur throughout your visit, offering expert insight into our facilities and products.
Can’t make it to the farm? You can find us at our new shop inside the Brooke St Pier, where the MONA ferry departs. Experience a tasting of our cheeses, spirits, and our other products. It’s located on the Hobart waterfront, Franklin Wharf. Here we are open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday each week from 1pm – 6 pm and some evenings during major Hobart festivals.
