Before Macca was our distiller, he was a forager. So when we started thinking about The Forager Series, he was straight onto it.
The elderflower growing on his property over the hill from the distillery has been on his radar for a while. There’s a narrow window each year when it’s worth picking – too early and it’s not quite there, too late and the moment’s passed. Macca knows the window. He picked the flowers himself, brought them in, and Elderflower Vodka was the result.
It’s exactly what you’d hope for – light, floral, and gently fragrant without ever trying too hard. Our Sheep Whey Vodka carries the elderflower beautifully, letting it lift and linger rather than shout.
